JBJ Looking Forward To Stay Together, Contract Renewal In Discussion
In just a couple of months, JBJ's contract is coming to an end. Although fans are looking forward to the extension of their promotion, there are no concrete details about it yet. So, in an interview with OSEN, the group talked about their inevitable disbandment in April.
JBJ is a byproduct of Produce 101 Season 2. When their contract with LOEN Entertainment and CJ E&M has ended, they are set to go back to their home agencies.
Takada Kenda admitted that the boys are often talking about the agreement's dismissal. In fact, this was the reason he cried at the recent Produce 101 Season 2 concert. Although he is happy to be a part of JBJ, he can't help but be sad thinking that they will be apart.
"I cried wondering how much longer we could keep these beautiful moments and stand on stage together," he said.
Kim Dong Han even agreed that thinking about JBJ's disbandment makes things difficult. So, he is just trying not to think about it and taking advantage of the time they are left off to enjoy every moment.
Additionally, Kenta, Kim Yong Gu, and Noh Tae Hyun all want JBJ to continue together. Thus, they are doing their best to make this happen.
They even confessed that they all got emotional at their last concert because of this. According to Soompi, Noh Tae Hyun revealed that everyone but him cried. They all felt grateful for the support they have been receiving and for the love of their fans.
Meanwhile, Kwon Hyun Bin asked if it is possible that their promotion will be extended, but there is no news about it.
To recall, in December 2017, there were reports that JBJ's contract will be lengthened, All Kpop cited. Multiple sources revealed that the group is showing optimism to widen their promotion period.
On the other hand, LOEN Entertainment addressed the issue by confirming that it is considering renewing the group's contract. However, no final decision is revealed as of yet. "Currently, we are deeply discussing a contract renewal, but nothing has been decided yet," it said.
JBJ's contract with LOEN Entertainment and CJ E&M is going to last until April. It is a group project for the boys to promote.
