Cho Seong Jin's first album continues to dominate the record bars in Korea after its release on November 6.

Korea Herald reported Wednesday that his album entitled "Seong-jin Cho - Chopin Piano Competition, Warsaw 2015" has sold more than 40,000 copies in a number of record bars in the country four days later. Hence, Universal Music Korea is compelled to place an additional order of 50,000 copies.

Korea Times said on Nov. 6 that Cho's first album includes four selections out of 14 piano works he has performed during the 17th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition - which he has won first prize - in Warsaw, Poland last month.

These four tracks include Chopin's Nocturne, Op. 48-1 in C minor; Sonata, Op. 35 in B-flat minor; Polonaise, Op. 53 in A-flat major; and 24 Preludes, Op. 28.  In addition, the recording of the four selections was reportedly done by Deutsche Grammophon.

"It has been a wonderful experience for me to be part of this great Competition and a dream come true to be named as winner of its first prize," Cho says, as noted by Deutsche Grammophon on Oct. 21. "Chopin's music tells us so much about the human condition and speaks directly to the heart. I hope that this Deutsche Grammophon recording will move all those who hear it."

Meanwhile, Universal Music Group International's Senior Vice President of Classical A&R Costa Pilavachi said they have been "captivated" by the performances of Cho during the competition.

"After three weeks of intense competition and extraordinary music-making, we were captivated by his wonderful winning performances and believe that he is destined to become one of the finest artists of his generation," Pilavachi says. "The International Chopin Piano Competition sets the benchmark by which all other music competitions are judged."

He goes on,  It is the king of such events and, as such, attracts worldwide attention to the very best in classical music. We are thrilled to be connecting the Chopin Competition with a large new audience, through our social media campaign and live streams from the finals, and now with the release of Cho Seong Jin's DG debut album."
