BigBang's Taeyang, 2ne1's CL, and Oh Hyuk To Debut New Music Variety Show In November
Details about the new tVN music variety show starring BigBang member Taeyang, ex-2ne1 rapper CL, and indie rocker Oh Hyuk have been released. The new show is titled 'My Job Is A Singer - Their Double Lives,' and will feature the three personalities' lives as professional musicians and as ordinary people.
Moreover, the show will reportedly shed light on how each creates the music and performances they have been known for, and how they live their lives out of the spotlight: Taeyang as an RnB artist on stage and Dong Young Bae off-stage, CL as a confident rapper and Lee Chae Rin at her clumsy best, and Oh Hyuk jamming with his band Hyuk Oh and the 25-year-old Hyuk hanging out with friends. The show will debut in November.
The tVN show will be Taeyang and CL's second time to be featured together. The two are currently featured as judges on YG Entertainment's new survival show 'MIXNINE.' The show, which is slated to air on October 29, will have the two superstars along with rapper Zion T. assess multiple trainees as the latter compete to be the next best K-Pop act.
2017 has been a very busy year for the three, and 'Double Lives' is the perfect vehicle to showcase their jam-packed schedules. Taeyang is still carrying out the last legs of his highly successful second world tour for his album 'White Night,' and is set to perform a new solo song for the 2018 Winter Games. Aside from lending her single 'Rainbow' for the 'My Little Pony: The Movie' soundtrack, CL was also featured in Lil Yachty's single 'Surrender' for the latter's album 'Teenage Emotions.' Meanwhile, Oh Hyuk is one of the artists who collaborated with Epik High for the trio's 9th album 'We've Done Something Wonderful,' which will be released on October 23. Oh Hyuk's single with Epik High, 'Home Is Far Away,' is currently enjoying the top 2 spot on all six major music charts.
