Highlight has come back with an upbeat song and music video that shows the group is having a lot of fun these days. The new "Can Be Better" MV continues the colorful and lighthearted aesthetic of their previous single "Plz Don't Be Sad," but is even more playful and hilarious.

Back in the days of BEAST, the group tended to showcase a more serious approach, even verging on emo on MVs like "Ribbon." Though the current comeback celebrates the 8th anniversary of BEAST's debut, Highlight prefers to emphasize their makeover in "Can Be Better." Watch it below:

The beginning of the video shows the individual members encountering various mishaps as they run to work in their suits. At the end, the guys are all trapped in a freezer truck, shivering in the icy cold. And yet the video as a whole has a goofy, comedic tone that is simply winning.

It may be Highlight's way of saying that despite the group's misfortunes and struggles in the past, the guys are determined to have fun. And they're inviting their fans to join them in partying. They're celebrating an anniversary, after all.

The track "Can Be Better" reflects this as well with its carefree sound and infectious beat. The Bias List puts it well: "Based on style alone, the track is closer to a group like B1A4 than anything Beast used to release."

"Can Be Better" is not the only upbeat track on Highlight's new mini album "Celebrate," which dropped on October 16. The track also titled "Celebrate" is appropriately a party banger. "Take On Me" fuses EDM beats with a sweet, soaring melody.

"Who Am I" gives the fans a sweet love ballad from the boys. Final album track "Love Like This" is a chill closer from the songwriting team of Lee Gikwang, Yong Jung Hyung, and their collaborators. Billboard notes that the other tracks are by Yong Jung Hyung and Kim Tae Joo, who are collectively known as Good Life.
