Luhan Girlfriend Guan Xiaotong Breakup Rumors: What We Know So Far
Lu Han or Luhan had just confirmed his relationship with Chinese actress Guan Xiaotong over the weekend. Barely a week after the confirmation, however, people were already talking about their breakup. One of the most controversial comments was made by Wang Sicong, the son of China's wealthiest man Wang Jianlin.
Various news channels reported that Luhan's simple post, officially announcing his relationship with Guan, had crashed China's major social media site, Weibo. His post gathered more than 4.8 million likes and 2.3 million comments. Remarks from netizens, however, were mostly mixed reactions and some had actually mentioned about their looming breakup even at this early stage of the relationship. This included Wang who believed that the couple will break up in a year's time.
"Luhan has a complicated private life. He'll most likely break up with Guan Xiaotong within half a year. Watch him," Wang was quoted as saying in a report from allkpop. Other Chinese comments were in unison with the son of the Chinese Billionaire. Netizens pointed out that Luhan and Guan were only 20 years old and the relationship would not last long until marriage. Some others surmised that Wang was right and that short-term relationships were common in the entertainment industry.
Other remarks that were first spotted by the South China Morning Post had spoken in a similar tone. There was one netizen who reportedly said that any other girl would be acceptable, except for Guan. The said comment reportedly gained 500,000 likes. Another comment that had been gaining hundreds of shares and thousands of likes stated that the relationship was merely a publicity stunt for an upcoming television series.
The former member of the popular band EXO, who managed to stay in the limelight despite departure from the band, had in fact just finished shooting "Sweet Combat." The television starred him and no other than Guan herself. The reel and real-life couple will play as two students who fall in love.
