BTS Gets A Special Place At Grammy Awards
Much before the Grammy Awards, BTS got a chance to be part it. A few days back, Grammy Awards website published a special article on the success of BTS.
'BTS "DNA," Video Tells 7 Members' Stories With Color' read the heading of the article published on October 3. The article beautifully jots down the success of band's mini video "DNA", how it entered the Billboard charts and the American music scene.
It describes "DNA" as visually intravenous, as is its dancing, colorful graphic, storytelling, and chart performance. The video was released on September 18 and since then it has been breaking all the records. A few days back, the track got 70 million views on YouTube and within a week it reached 80 million hits.
"From No. 85 on the week published Oct. 7, the BTS hit jumped to No. 67 for the Oct. 14 published period," writes Phillip Merrill for Grammy Awards. Further, they say, "BTS is now the highest charting Billboard Hot 100 title by a K-Pop artist or band."
Wonder Girls, another South Korean girl group, reached No.76 with "Nobody" in 2009. This is the first time when any South Korean musical band has reached this height and continues to do that.
Big Hit Entertainment, the group's creative team, explained how each member contributes in creating such unique stories, using their personal style and flair.
BTS is not just a musical band, they are a bunch of an epic cooperation between diverse and energetic young men, full of passion in their song. And when they have such a powerful combination, there's no stopping for them.
The Grammy Awards, presented by the Recording Academy, is known to honor outstanding achievements in English language music industry, quotes Allkpop. It's a special gesture for any K-Pop group or Asian artist to be featured on the official website.
