K-Pop Group KARD On The Verge Of Winning Permanent Global Fans
Following the recent spree of performances of their hits abroad, K-Pop Group K.A.R.D has begun to steer its course to pop stardom, winning over global fans. Their entry into, especially the English-language pop scene cannot have come at a better time, Forbes reports, than now when BTS are also headlining the Billboard album and singles charts.
The new pop stars in town have been touring the United States in their immensely popular WILD KARD Tour. They have only been in the scene for the past three months since their formation, yet the group members have made visits everywhere from beauty companies in the Big Apple to shows in LA. They have acquired new fans across both coasts.
It is not just in the stateside that KARD, a four-member K-Pop act, has recently performed. They were also in the Netherlands and Milan, Italy, before capping with performances in London.
The members of the K-Pop group recently made a stop-over at a New York beauty venue, in a story that appeared on Allure, where they gave out more on their personalities. A source at the site reveals a personal liking of KARD's song Oh NaNa, currently giving many a K-Pop fan in the states a sing-along moment.
The KARD members who attended the show included Jiwoo, J.Seph, B.M., and Somin. They revealed that despite their flamboyant and colorful outfits on stage, they would always settle for a grayish, simple look anytime. They have the ability to overcome barriers, especially as they do not adhere to a single-gender pop definition as most all-girl or boy bands do.
The popularity of K-Pop's KARD abroad is not just a wild card as their tour motif would have it. It has generated a US-inspired vocal and attitude style, including their free lyrics, singalong moments, donning of pop-star inspired hairdos and having personal favorites. For instance, Jiwoo, the rapper in the group said that she loves Rihanna in terms of looks, while J'Seph has it that C. Ronaldo has his hairdo inspiration.
It is not long before the K-Pop group K.A.R.D cement a world of fans noting that they have gained rave reviews in major news outlets like Forbes since their July formation. They started their tour on a high note in Los Angeles May 2017, where they exhilarated the crowd.
