Zoo Season 4

Will Jackson Oz (James Wolk) and his team return for "Zoo" Season 4? The sci-fi series has wrapped up third season this month but CBS has not announced whether it is coming back to television for at least one more adventure.

To recount, after the events of Season 2, Season 3 opened with a time jump that brought the characters into a significantly different new world where the human population has started to dwindle and the hybrids want to inherit the world immediately. It explored places whether the series has not ventured before, including the territory of the hybrids.

This, however, did not reel the viewers. According to the data published by TV Series Finale, Season 3 of "Zoo" started and ended with .50 ratings. On average, the series recorded a .51 rating from the 19-49 demographics. In comparison, Season 2, had a .74 average.

In terms of viewership, there was also a significant decline. The series had 2.650 million viewers per episode which is a 40% decline from Season 2 record of 4.453 million total viewers.

Based on ratings alone, it looks like "Zoo" Season 4 might not even happen. Moreover, the series has seen a steady decline since Season 1 which had an average of 1.06 rating from 18-49 demographics and 6.40 million viewers.

However, of course, ratings are not the sole indicator of whether the series will be renewed or canceled. There are other series that still exist with relatively low ratings (but has a passionate and loyal following). Bustle reported that there are already fans pressuring CBS to quickly renew "Zoo" to Season 4 on social media.

The sci-fi series aired its third season finale last week that forced Jackson to make an impossible decision: set the hybrids free or let humanity slowly go extinct because of sterility. Without consulting anyone, he chose to set off a jet that targets the barrier hinting that the war is not over yet.
