'General Hospital' Spoilers: Who Is the Real Jason Morgan?

"General Hospital" has been taking its time in getting Steve Burton's character to Port Charles. Meanwhile, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) has been entrusted with the knowledge that Jason Morgan has a twin brother named Drew. Fans are looking forward to the moment when Burton returns so that the true Jason Morgan can be revealed.

Burton has been playing Patient 6, who is currently known as Andrew or Drew, the twin brother of Jason. Of course, Burton originally played Jason before the actor left the role in October 2012. The part was recast a few years later, and since 2014 the actor Billy Miller has been portraying Jason. But the revelation that Jason has a twin along with the return of Burton to his "General Hospital" roots is likely to shake things up.

Drew is connected to a couple other "General Hospital" mysteries as well. While Jake Webber (Hudson West) was being kept on Carradine Island, he saw someone whom he later drew as a scarecrow. When his therapist Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) gave him some toys, Jake picked up the Wizard of Oz figures of the Wicked Witch and the Scarecrow.

The Witch represented Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and the Scarecrow was her unidentified ally, whom many believed would turn out to be Jason. And indeed, Jake reacted with fear when seeing an old photo of Jason. But the photo showed Jason's old face, that is, Burton's visage, says Blasting News. So Drew is the most likely suspect to be the Scarecrow.

As for Franco, he has also learned from Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) that Drew is the mysterious childhood friend seen with him in an old photo. Betsy confessed that she raised Franco and Drew together as brothers, but Drew had actually Jason's twin brother. Drew supposedly died at age three due to a bad heart.

But Drew is very much alive, hospitalized in Russia as Patient 6. If that man is indeed Drew. For the show may be heading toward a switcheroo, with Miller's Jason to be exposed as Drew, and Burton's Patient 6 to be revealed as the real Jason. Celebrity Dirty Laundry notes that several characters have commented that the man currently known as Jason doesn't seem like the same person as before. It appears likely that he isn't, and that the audience will soon see Burton playing Jason once again.
