BTS' new album, "Love Yourself: Her" just dropped recently and needless to say, fans are more than satisfied with the group's latest offerings. There are quite a few hits in the new album including "MIC Drop." It seems like there is more to this song that meets the eye as the boy group has revealed the inspiration behind it.

The song, "MIC Drop" is just one of the many hits of "Love Yourself: Her." Fans might have been curious with regards to how this song was created but the group recently revealed new details about it during a press conference at Lotte Hotel in Seoul. BTS has the most unlikely of inspiration for "MIC Drop" but the reason behind it is quite interesting.

It turns out that BTS got their idea from former US president Barrack Obama. To recall, Obama made a speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner last year. At the end of his address, he literally dropped his mic on purpose. His famous mic drop conveyed confidence and swag; thus it inspired the South Korean group.

According to SE Daily, Rap Monster shared that after seeing the former president's speech, it made an appeal to them. He said that Obama's performance says, "my speech was good, wasn't it?" With that, they were motivated to make a song that is similar to the feeling that Obama's memorable speech gives. So like Obama's mic drop, BTS' "MIC Drop" also expresses confidence and swag.

Also included in their album are "Serendipity," "Illegal," "Pied Piper," "Go Go," and "Her." Their song "Best of Me" which was co-written by The Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart is included as well. Their new album "Love Yourself: Her" also has two surprise tracks for their ARMY fans to enjoy.

Additionally, their latest album is out on the market now with their title song, "DNA." So be sure to grab a copy of one of the most anticipated records. In the meantime, take a look at BTS' trending music video below.
