'While You Were Sleeping': The Undeniable Chemistry Between Bae Suzy & Lee Jong Suk [Photos]
"While You Are Sleeping" is one of the most anticipated K-dramas this year partly because of its lead cast. The upcoming drama on SBS will see Lee Jong Suk ("W: Two Worlds," "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo") team-up for the first time with Bae Suzy ("Uncontrollably Fond," "My Love From The Star"). Already, the two are exuding chemistry.
SBS has released a first look at the fantasy - romance drama. The photos introduce Bae Suzy as Nam Hong Joo, a woman who can see the future in her dreams, and Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk), the prosecutor who will use her special abilities to prevent her premonitions to happen in reality.
The stills which were released on Sept. 4 shows the two lead characters aboard a bus. In the first two photos, Bae Suzy and Lee Jong Suk are seated separately. However, in the next photo, the prosecutor has his head on Nam Hong Joo's shoulder. Check out all three photos from Naver.com.
The photos also debut Bae Suzy's new look. The singer-actor has rocked her long hair since she made her debut as a member of the girl group, miss A, in 2010. For "While You Are Sleeping," she chopped off her locks into a shoulder-length bob and some wispy bangs.
The upcoming crime drama on SBS also stars Lee Sang Yeob, Jung Hae In, Kim Min Jae, Park Jin Joo, Min Sung Wook, Go Sung Hee, Shin Jae Ha, Kim Won Hae, Jang Hyung Sung, Um Hyo Sup, Pro Ye Jin, and Oh Eui Sik. Soompi previously published a photo of the cast from the drama's first table read earlier this month.
"Laughter was a constant on set while we were filming the drama," a staff revealed. "The cast's perfect teamwork helped us end our five-month filming schedule in great success. We will continue to work hard to finish a drama that viewers can enjoy."
"While You Were Sleeping" will air on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday, at 22:00 KST, starting Sept. 27. The fantasy - romance drama was written by Park Hye Ryun ("Pinocchio") and directed by Oh Choong Hwan ("Doctors").
