Mark "Mugen" Striegl is a Filipino-American MMA fighter based in Baguio City, Philippines.

Filipino-American MMA fighter Mark "Mugen" Striegl is returning to Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) at "URCC: XXX" on Aug. 12 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The "Thrilla in Manila" fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1975 took place in the same venue.

Striegl will battle it out with former URCC Bantamweight Champion Andrew Benibe at "URCC: XXX." This is Striegl's third fight under URCC, the first professional mixed martial arts promotion in Southeast Asia, and his 18th fight as a professional MMA fighter.

Two of Striegl's 15 previous opponents are South Korean, namely Bae Yong Kwon and Jang Yong Kim. Striegl defeated Bae via unanimous decision at "Pro Fighter 4: 180" at the Luxy Contemporary Nightlife Complex in Taipei, Taiwan, on Aug. 1, 2010.

On Sept. 14, 2013, Striegl had his first loss as a professional MMA fighter after Jang submitted him via leg scissor choke at the main event of "PXC: Pacific Xtreme Combat 39" at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila. Prior to this, Striegl maintained an undefeated record with 12 wins.

After "PXC: Pacific Xtreme Combat 39," Striegl went on hiatus for more than a year. On Oct. 25, 2014, he returned to the cage and defeated Kai Kara-France via rear-naked choke submission at "MIMMA- Malaysian Invasion 2: Grand Finals" at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On April 24, 2015, Striegl made his ONE Championship debut and defeated Casey Suire via rear-naked choke submission. Striegl's second ONE Championship fight led to his second loss as a professional MMA fighter after Reece McLaren submitted him via rear-naked choke.

On Dec. 2, 2016, Striegl fought his third ONE Championship fight and defeated Sotir Kichukov via unanimous decision. After this, Striegl returned to URCC after more than five years.

Striegl's first URCC fight was on Feb. 19, 2011 in Baguio City, where he is currently based. He defeated Team Lakay's Crisanto Pitpitunge via rear-naked choke submission at "URCC Baguio 3: Invasion" at the Baguio Convention Center.

On April 28, 2012, Striegl fought his second URCC bout. The Baguio-based fighter defeated Alcer Lozada via rear-naked choke submission at "URCC 21: Warpath" at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Currently, Striegl holds a record of 15 wins and 2 losses. His "URCC: XXX" opponent has 6 wins and 9 losses.

Also in the "URCC: XXX" fight card is South Korean MMA fighter Do Gyeom Lee, whose contender is Jojo Orao. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring Striegl:
