Lee Jun Ki is known in the South Korean entertainment industry as a versatile actor who can do most of the stunt work required in various projects. Recently, the "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" star displayed his expertise in completing action scenes while filming the upcoming tvN drama "Criminal Minds."

Anticipation is high for the impending premiere of the crime procedural series "Criminal Minds." A Korean reboot of the U.S. TV series with the same name, the tvN drama is headlined by several talented stars such as Lee Jun Ki. Many fans are also expecting to see exciting scenes and action-filled sequences where the said actor can show off his fighting moves.

With filming activities having started in late April, some of the scenes completed by Lee Jun Ki even required him to do a few stunt work. The "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor was even tasked to jump through a sheet of glass for an action sequence. Production insiders revealed that the said celebrity's first attempt in doing the stunt was vetoed by the director and even had members of the "Criminal Minds" crew breaking out in applause, Soompi reported.

Having portrayed a myriad of characters in both contemporary and historical-themed series, Lee Jun Ki admitted that he was having fun portraying his role in "Criminal Minds." In an earlier interview with Marie Claire magazine, as cited by All Kpop, the actor even described his character as "someone [whom he] can freely express as a living, breathing being."

Meanwhile, similar to its original U.S. series, the Korean reboot of "Criminal Minds" will showcase the various challenges and crime cases encountered by a team from the National Crime Information (NCI) Center. Lee Jun Ki will portray the criminal profiler Hyun Joon who is said to have a silly side. Other cast members include veteran actor Son Hyun Joo, "Good Doctor" actress Moon Chae Won, Lee Sun Bin, "My Father is Strange" actor Kim Yeong Cheol and more.

"Criminal Minds" will premiere on July 26 on tvN. Watch a teaser clip below:
