Lee Hyori Talks About Heize Beating Her In The Music Charts

Singer Lee Hyori just released her new album titled "BLACK" and discussed it on the show "Happy Together". She admitted that she never heard of top charter Heize before is a little bit surprised.

After releasing her album just a few days ago, singer Lee Hyori talked about her album "BLACK" Thursday on "Happy Together". The album consists of ten new tracks and featured artists consist of Killagramz, Los, Absint, and Lee Juck. There's also two instrumental tracks included. This is her album after four years and the album is an evidenced that the singer has become more experimental and reinvented her music style. 

"I had a feeling [my music] wasn't going to do as well as it did back then, but I still thought to myself, 'I'm Lee Hyori though.'" the singer admitted while laughing, as reported by Soompi. The legendary singer further elaborated that in the past, a few days after releasing her new album, she would see her new music on charts. Though this time, her song couldn't even go up on the charts and noticed that the number one song was "Don't You Know" by Heize which was followed by MAMAMOO's "Yes I am". She also admitted that she "hadn't even heard of Heize before."

The "BLACK" artist asked her stylist about Heize and learned out that Heize is very popular these days. Curious, Lee Hyori decided to check out Heize's music and understood why the singer is at number 1. She described Heize as "cool and fresh". 

Lee Hyori and other performers such as Red Velvet, Kim Tae Woo, and HALO performed recently on SBS' energetic  "Inkigayo". Lee Hyori, together with Red Velvet, Kim Tae Woo, HALO, and VAV performed some the tracks in their comeback albums, as reported by Allkpop
