BitTorrent Inc. has been serving torrent fans and running for an extremely long time. Furthermore, it has managed to carve itself out a place as one of the most popular torrent downloaders of all time.

IsportsTimes reported that the infamous uTorrent has introduced a Game Store to its popular download client. Hence, the store offers a range of games on multiple platforms which users can buy from within uTorrent.

Despite the uTorrent popularity, users and fans haven't introduced with its many significant changes in recent years. While there are plans to completely overhaul the users and make it a web browser based application, there is another change that caught the users eye recently.

The company is not new to the "store" concept. It previously had a movie store called the "Torrent Entertainment Network" few years ago. However, the store was shut down in 2008 due to a lack of success.

While creating the content in the store to uTorrent appears to be a huge thing, it was introduced without any public announcements. There was no any press release from BitTorrent, no blog post, not even a mention on the official Twitter account.

uTorrent Built-in Game Store Features & Details Revealed

According to Torrent Freak, they asked BitTorrent Inc. for a comment on the new store. However, they haven't heard anything back.

This can also means that the company doesn't really want to get any attention for the Built-in Game Store, for some reason which no one knows why. After buying a game through the uTorrent store, Torrent Freak claimed that they were surprised to see that it simply referred them to the Steam platform, to activate and download their purchase.

Hence, there was no option to download the game in uTorrent, which is a missed opportunity for a download client. While the group bought only one game, this likely means that the Games Store is not meant to showcase uTorrent's excellent downloading capabilities.
