Nokia 3310 To Get Another Sibling
The Finnish tech giant Nokia took the market by a storm when it revived its classic Nokia 3310 earlier this year. Thanks to the oldie, many users met with nostalgia. Not only were the fans reminded of the good old days but the Nokia 3310 pretty much managed to bring life back to feature phones as well. Otherwise, the technology market was increasingly being dominated by Android and iOS-based smartphones. After meeting with much success from the Nokia 3310 device, it seems like the HMD Global-backed company has now decided to launch yet another feature phone in the coming months.
According to a report published by Gadgets 360, the upcoming Nokia-branded feature phone was recently spotted on an official Chinese regulatory website. The feature phone was being carried under the model number, TA-1017. It was first spotted on TENAA. On the basis of the information provided on the platform, it doesn't appear like the upcoming feature phone by Nokia is going to be any fancy in terms of design. The company seems to have stuck with the basic design with its upcoming feature device. Experts believe that the upcoming Nokia-branded feature phone will be known for its durability - similar to Nokia 3310's reputation.
On the back-side of the feature phone, a simple-looking speaker grille is located alongside the camera lens with no support for flash. The device packs a small display with the physical keyboard taking up much of its space. The information provided on the platform further goes on to suggest that the feature phone will not be supporting 3G connectivity. At the same time, there are many reports that claim that there will a higher variant of the same model that might come with the support for 3G. Moreover, the device will be running on S30+UI and dual-SIM card support as well. Exactly when Nokia plans on launching this feature phone is still unknown.
As can be recalled, the HMD Global-backed Nokia took the wraps off its Nokia 3310 feature phone earlier this year at MWC, 2017. Following which, the company launched the Nokia 150 and Nokia 150 Dual-SIM feature phones. The company even forayed into the smartphone market by unveiling its first Nokia Android-enabled smartphone, Nokia 6 in January this year. The company is expected to introduce several other smartphones this year including Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 9 devices later this year. However, the exact dates for the same are still unknown.
