Alex Høgh Andersen's movie titled "Koldt på toppen," or "Cold on the Top" if translated into the English language, has given a very juicy hint about the future of the "Vikings" Season 5. In the said film, co-star Marco Ilsø has told the 23-year-old actor that the popular History series would face cancellation after the fifth season.
After learning the sad news about the show's possible cancellation, Alex Høgh Andersen has started doubting himself and getting frustrated about his career. The "Vikings" Season 5 star was later forced to stand up for himself as he faces more dilemmas.
"Alex's character is a parody of the attention-seeking, self-centered person that many people stereotype young actors to be," director Christoffer Dibbern has stated to the University Post. "But no, the character was never a parody of the real Alex," the young filmmaker added on.
The film's plotline has become trending among fans of the much-awaited series that it sparked speculations that the series would be revoked after "Vikings" Season 5. However, History Channel has not yet released any confirmation about these reports.
'Vikings' Season 5 air date set in the fourth quarter of 2017: report
In other news, International Business Times Australia reported that the upcoming fifth season would arrive before 2017 ends. It was Alex Høgh Andersen who revealed that "Vikings" Season 5 would start airing later this year.
Additionally, Clive Standen has told his fans, via Twitter, that "Vikings" Season 5 is coming back by the end of 2017. But, the 35-year-old Irish actor has emphasized that nothing is official until now.
No specific date has been announced as of yet but IBT has speculated that it would premiere in the last quarter of the year. If fans would track down the pattern, it is possible that "Vikings" Season 5 would be aired in November 2017.
Having a total of 20 episode, the "Vikings" Season 5 is also expected to be aired in two parts. Showrunner Michael Hirst has previously confessed to Variety that having another installment after the fifth season is possible.
