News has been making rounds for quite some time now that South Korean tech firm LG is planning to release a smaller version of their latest flagship - the LG G6. Recent talks now suggest that the said render might carry the moniker LG Q6 alongside with specs that are yet to be confirmed.

Speculations about the so-called LG G6 Mini began in April when Technobuffalo claimed that LG is prepping to shell out the mentioned render. Such report seems to fit in the bag as famed tech leakster - Evan Blass took to Twitter to reveal that the handset's model number M700 was spotted on the Federal Communications Commission's list of devices.

However, the specs under the hood of the yet to be released LG G6 Mini/LG Q6 is still undisclosed. If circulating reports are anything to go by, it is believed that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset and backed by a decent 3GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the LG G6 Mini/LG Q6 will be laid with a 5.4-inch display with an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio. Blass also mentioned in his tweet that the device will have an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, though it was corrected by one of his followers as the LG G6 has an 18.9 ratio.

The 3.5 mm audio jack will still be present with the LG G6 Mini/LG Q6 and is likely to be etched on top of the phone. Both power and volume buttons will be lodged on the handset's left edge while USB Type-C hub will be placed at the bottom. As for its camera component, it is believed early on that it will come out with a single rear shooter, though recent reports stated that it could come with a dual rear snapper just like its bigger brother, Gizbot reported.

The LG G6 Mini's release date is still under wraps as of the moment as the company is still mum about its existence. Check out a video about the LG Q6 here:
