‘Fight For My Way’ Continues To Lead TV Rating Race, ‘My Sassy Girl’ Viewership Shares Inches Up

"Fight For My Way" retained its lead among primetime dramas released every Monday and Tuesday given its double-digit viewership shares. Meanwhile, TV ratings of the historical series "My Sassy Girl" continues to increase.

Park Seo Joon's KBS drama has been consistently posting TV ratings that range from 10 percent to more than 12 percent in the recent weeks. "Fight For My Way" episode 11 that was released on June 26, Monday, registered viewership shares of 12 percent and 13.2 percent across the South Korean nation and in Seoul, respectively, according to Nielsen Korea.

The said accomplishment marked the fifth consecutive week that "Fight For My Way" landed at the top of the Monday-Tuesday TV rating race. Coming in at second place is the TV adaptation of Cha Tae Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun's hit romantic comedy movie. Aired on the same day, "My Sassy Girl" episode 17 reached nationwide ratings of 8.2 percent while episode 18 posted ratings of 9.4 percent.

Following "Fight For My Way" and "My Sassy Girl" is the suspense drama "Lookout," also known as "The Guardian." The said MBC series' episodes 21 and 22 registered viewership ratings of 7.4 percent and 8.2 percent, respectively.

In other news, "Fight For My Way" recently delighted avid viewers given the romantic development between the two lead characters Dong Man and Ae Ra. Portrayed by "Hwarang" actor Park Seo Joon and "Descendants of the Sun" actress Kim Ji Won, the KBS drama also showcased the various challenges that the two characters and their friends have to go through to attain their dreams.

In an earlier press event for "Fight For My Way," Park Seo Joon shared that his role helped him to reflect on his career and previous struggles. Recounting how he used to live in a small studio apartment when he first started acting, he admitted that staying at his character's living quarters reminded him of his past, Soompi quoted the actor as saying. He even commented on the drama's overall message which is to encourage everyone to continue reaching for their personal goals despite the hardships.
