BTS Joins Donald Trump, ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling In List Of ’25 Most Influential People On The Internet’

BTS is one of South Korea's famous boy bands with their albums and songs ranking of several local charts, as well as Billboard. Recently, the Kpop group was included in Time magazine's list of "25 Most Influential People on the Internet" alongside other global names such as U.S. President Donald Trump, "Harry Potter" novelist J.K. Rowling and more.

The seven-member Kpop boy band recently nabbed an impressive achievement given the group's inclusion on the said annual unranked list. BTS was among the 25 individuals whose social media presence made a huge impact including their ability "to drive news," according to a list posted on Time magazine's official website.

Some of the K-pop group's achievements were also indicated on the said listing such as the boy band's numerous chart entries on Billboard. BTS even bested Hollywood musicians such as Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber given the band's first place ranking on Billboard's "Social 50" chart for 27 consecutive weeks. The boy band's album "Wings" also landed on the Billboard 200 and was known as the Kpop album that achieved the highest rank when it debuted at number 26 on the said chart.

Apart from BTS, other individuals that made it to Time magazine's list include Donald Trump, model Chrissy Teigen, musician Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and J.K. Rowling who penned the famous "Harry Potter" books. Chinese actress Yao Chen also landed a spot on the said list, as well as Matt Drudge, Nevada teen Carter Wilkerson, Brian Reed, Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny, "Pepe the Frog" creator Matt Furie, Steven Pruitt and more.

Meanwhile, BTS was recently chosen as the "Best Kpop Boy Group" in a survey participated in by several experts from the South Korean entertainment industry. The seven-member band nabbed the number one spot, followed by EXO, Big Bang, Seventeen and Wanna One, according to a Sports Seoul survey, as cited by All Kpop.  

BTS also made it to the said survey's "Most Influential Power People of Kpop" list. The boy band landed at number three with SM Entertainment's Lee Soo Man and YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk at first and second place, respectively.
