BTOB’s Peniel Not Serious About Solo Single?

K-Pop boy band BTOB member Peniel Shin, who is professionally known as Peniel, is serious about releasing his first single. This does not mean, however, that he cannot release a funny teaser for the upcoming song.

This was what Peniel exactly did on June 22, Thursday. He took to Instagram to share a video starting with the camera entering a recording studio where work for his single is taking place but he suddenly interrupts before the track starts playing.

The track is part of the ongoing project titled "Piece of BTOB." In the project, each of the seven BTOB members of will release a solo track.

On April 24, Lee Chang Sub, who is professionally known as Changsub, became the first BTOB member to release a solo track, which was titled "At the End." Jung Il Hoon, who is professionally known as Ilhoon, released his solo track titled "Fancy Shoes" on May 30, making him the second one to do so.

Peniel will be the third contributor to the "Piece of BTOB" project. His solo track was produced in collaboration with American producer Joe J. Lee, who is professionally known as Kairos.

Among the songs Kairos has worked on are "Next Page" and "Pretend" by TWICE and Suzy, respectively. He is also the brother-in-law of Peniel.

Before "Piece of BTOB" started, Peniel exhibited another talent that he has. He held his first photo exhibit called "PENOGRAPHY" on March 30 at White Studio, a gallery in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Soompi reported.

Meanwhile, Peniel, Changsub and Ilhoon's fellow BTOB member, Lee Min Hyuk, who is professionally known as Minhyuk, is set to star in a historical action film about swordsmen in Joseon during the Ming-Qing transition period. He will play Kyeom Sa Bok, the bodyguard of the king, played by Jang Hyun Sung, according to Star News.

This will be the first film role of Minhyuk. Joining the BTOB member and Jang in the cast of the upcoming film are Jang Hyuk, Joe Taslim, Jung Man Sik, Choi Jin Ho and Kim Hyun Soo.
