LG G6 vs LG G6 Plus: Difference Explained
LG is expected to take the wraps off its high-end flagship smartphone, LG V30 anytime soon now. But it seems like the company has decided to give its recently launched LG G6 a gentle push by introducing a higher version of the same smartphone under the name, LG G6 Plus. The device in question comes equipped with a larger 128GB internal storage, spacious 6GB of RAM and two different color options. The smartphone, however, is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC.
Therefore, it is safe to assume that the only highlight of the 'Plus' variant appears to be its display size. The company appears to have pushed the LG G6 Plus smartphone as an identical twin to the LG G6 device but with a larger display and added storage. With the increase of memory and RAM space, the users will now be able to experience a smooth ride on their smartphones. According to a report published by Android Authority, all the other specifications remain the exact same as the LG G6 smartphone. For instance, the LG G6 Plus smartphone is going to come equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD+ display accompanied with rounded corners, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 SoC and dual rear camera sensors with the capacity of housing 3,300mAh battery.
Many fans were expecting the LG G6 Plus smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC. However, it appears like the company is saving that particular powerful system for its upcoming LG V30 smartphone. The company is expected to launch its highly-speculated LG V30 smartphone at the IFA, 2017 that will be taking place during the first week of September in Berlin. If this turns out to be true then it appears like the LG V30 smartphone will be falling directly in competition with other greater smartphone brands such as Apple and Samsung as well.
As for the LG G6 Plus smartphone, the device is expected to hit the shelves in July. According to a report published by The Verge, the company will certainly be giving the upcoming device an OS bump, however, it's still uncertain whether it will come preloaded on the device or if the users will manually have to upgrade it themselves as and when the company makes it available in the future.
