Seo In Guk Exempted From Military Service, 'Reply 1997' Actor Found With Severe Joint Disorder

The official results of actor and singer Seo In Guk's medical examination have finally come out to determine whether or not the artist is fit to return to military service. Based on the results of his evaluation, the "Shopping King Louie's" injuries are more complicated than earlier expected.

According to a report by All Kpop, Seo In Guk's management Jellyfish Entertainment the findings of the actor's the diagnosis indicated the fracture on his ankle was actually Osteochondritis dissecans, a joint disorder in which cracks form in the cartilage and underlying bone.

Seo In Guk's condition was classified as a Grade 5 rating. This means that the actor will be exempt from military service and he would not be required to complete his military training.

It can be recalled that Seo In Guk was discharged from the military after four days from enlistment after he was found to have a fracture on his ankle. The "Reply 1997" star wanted to continue with his training and seek another medical evaluation from the regional unit of the Military Manpower Agency for possible re-entry but was advised to rest and take the medical examination at a later time.

According to a report by Kpopstarz, Seo In Guk underwent his medical re-examination at the Physical Examination Center of Military Manpower Administration on June 6 to see whether he could go back to training. The results of the medical exam came out yesterday.

Aside from Seo In Guk, actors Lee Min Ho and Jung Il Woo have also been exempted from military service because of injuries they sustained in a car accident in 2006. Jung Il Woo, who suffered a cerebral aneurysm from the mishap insisted on enlisting for military training and is now serving his military service at a senior care facility. Lee Min Ho, who sustained severe leg injury recently enlisted and will be performing his mandatory service as a social service worker.
