Microsoft Surface Book 2: What To Expect, Release Delayed

Microsoft took the wraps off its much-acclaimed Surface Book sometime last year. Fans have been waiting for the arrival of its successor ever since. While there has been no official confirmation regarding the same; it appears - on the basis of rumors - that the company might be planning on launching its Surface Book 2 sometime soon.

According to a report published by Tech Radar, Microsoft is apparently preparing its Surface Book 2 with revamped design and enhanced specifications. As far as the release date is concerned, Microsoft was previously rumored to launch its Surface Book 2 by spring 2017. However, recent reports are suggesting that the Surface Book 2 might officially be launching later in the year.

Another report published by The Verge claims that Microsoft is planning on following its Surface Book 2 with a new clamshell laptop. If this turns out to be true then the device will probably arrive at a much cheaper rate than what is expected.

Several other online reports are suggesting the upcoming Surface Book 2 might pack a 13.5-inch display with 3,000 x 2,000 pixel resolution, after being backed by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU. Apart from that, the new model is also further expected to pack a conventional 4K resolution display as well. There's also much public information suggesting that the device is set to arrive with Intel's latest Kaby Lake architecture. If this turns out to be true then the device will come with a greatly enhanced user experience as well.

Microsoft's Surface Book 2 is expected to arrive with the best of the features and will fall in direct competition with Apple's MacBook Pro among others.
