Samsung Celebrates The Unveiling Of The Galaxy S6 edge+ And Galaxy Note5

The Lenovo-backed smartphone manufacturer Motorola recently made an official confirmation that its mid-range Moto X Play smartphone that was launched back in 2015, is going to receive the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. Apart from that T-Mobile also reportedly confirmed that the Android 7.0 Nougat will also be pushed to other Samsung smartphones such as Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge by the end of this week.

To recall and as reported by several online reports Motorola last year rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat to quite a few of its smartphones. However, the firm apparently missed out on Moto X Play smartphone at that time. The Motorola Moto X Play smartphone currently still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow that was released back in 2015.

As pointed by Android Authority, it is quite natural for the Moto X Play users to pester Motorola for rolling out the latest Android update for their devices soon as it has been nearly 2 years since it had been updated. The tech-giant never really addressed the matter directly. Now, finally, it appears like Motorola India took to its Twitter account to confirm this news.

According to a report published by Phone Arena, Motorola confirmed that while there is no estimated time of arrival for the Android 7.0 Nougat for its Moto X Play smartphone, it is being rumored that the device will receive the update by the end of this week.

Additionally, T-Mobile went ahead to make the announcement, suggesting that they are planning on pushing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones as soon as this week. The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes along with a range of new upgrades and shortcuts and a lot of bug fixes as well.
