‘Suspicious Partner’ Update: Posts Highest Ratings Following Ji Chang Wook, Nam Ji Hyun Kiss Scene
"Suspicious Partner" has been enjoying strong TV ratings since the SBS drama aired its premiere episode in May. Recently, the said series posted its highest viewership shares to-date following the aftermath of Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's romantic kiss scene.
Avid viewers recently witnessed the growing romance between Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's characters. Aired on June 7, Wednesday, the two back-to-back episodes of "Suspicious Partner" featured the first kiss between the lead protagonists including a romantic love confession. Given the said scene, the drama's TV ratings showed an increase as compared to previous episodes.
"Suspicious Partner" episodes 17 and 18 registered nationwide viewership shares of 8.4 percent and 9.8 percent, respectively. Across the Seoul metropolitan area, episode 17 reached TV ratings of 9.1 percent while episode 18 posted ratings of 10.2 percent, according to Nielsen Korea.
The said viewership shares marked the highest rating that the Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's drama received over its ongoing broadcast run. Previously, "Suspicious Partner" recorded peak ratings of 9.3 percent and 10 percent across the South Korean nation and in Seoul, respectively.
Meanwhile, viewers can look forward to seeing more sweet moments between Ji Chang Wook's character Ji Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's character Bong Hee. Given the former's decision to stop denying his feelings for the latter, Ji Wook will become more expressive as he tries to woo Bong Hee. Despite the young lawyer's attempts to ignore the former prosecutor's love confession, it appears that the two characters' relationship will soon turn romantic in upcoming "Suspicious Partner" episodes.
In other news, Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun previously revealed what they plan to do if "Suspicious Partner" reached TV ratings of 15 percent. In an earlier interview, the two co-stars shared that they will gift lucky viewers with a coffee treat where the venue will be identified by avid fans, Soompi reported.
