Lee Jong Suk, Suzy’s Drama ‘While You Were Asleep’ Premiere Date Revealed; Filming Activities To Wrap Up Soon
Following the growing trend of pre-produced dramas in South Korea, the upcoming SBS series "While You Were Asleep" is expected to complete filming activities in the coming weeks. Avid fans can also look forward to seeing the drama's lead stars Lee Jong Suk and Suzy on the small screens in the third quarter of 2017.
"While You Were Asleep" will mark Lee Jong Suk and Suzy's small screen comeback after appearing in the TV series "W - Two Worlds" and "Uncontrollably Fond," respectively. The said SBS production will also mark the first onscreen pairing between the two South Korean celebrities.
Recently, it was revealed that the Lee Jong Suk and Suzy starrer is expected to be released in September, Korea Herald reported. "While You Were Asleep" will be a part of SBS' drama line-up for its Wednesday and Thursday primetime schedule.
Moreover, the "While You Were Asleep" cast and crew members will soon finish filming activities for the said SBS romantic suspense series. A source from the drama industry told local reporters that the production team is set to complete shooting all the needed scenes by mid-June, Korean news outlet Donga quoted the source as saying. Despite having experienced a few delays in the early part of the year, Lee Jong Suk, Suzy, and other cast members were able to adjust their schedules given the changes.
The upcoming series "While You Were Asleep" tells the story of a young woman named Hong Joo who dreams of the unfortunate events happening to other people. Portrayed by Suzy, the said character was described as a person who would rather stay home given her visions and believes that she cannot do anything to stop them. Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk will play the prosecutor Jae Chan who will partner with Hong Joo to stop her premonitions from coming true.
"While You Were Asleep" will premiere in late September on SBS. The Lee Jong Suk and Suzy drama will replace the series "Into the New World" which will air after "Suspicious Partner."
