Joe Jonas, Gigi Hadid Break-Up Confirmed; Split Mutual As Former Release Statement!
Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid are no longer in a relationship after five months of dating.
"Nothing serious happened ... it wasn't a dramatic break up," a statement from a source reported in People. "It was just hard to make it work with their schedules. They will definitely remain friends," the source added.
Joe Jonas, 26 and Gigi Hadid, 20 started dating last summer and made their debut as a couple during a red carpet event of the Global Lyme Alliance's Gala in October, according to New York Daily News.
Before being in a relationship, they were both good friends and were rumored to be in a relationship last year but denied by Hadid and said that Joe is, "a really good friend of mine."
In June 2015, both took their friendship into a romantic level. "Gigi feels very comfortable with Joe and it's very easy to talk about everything that's going on in her life with him," a source told E Online. "He understands where she is at and they are not in any rush."
The relationship received an approval from Nick Jonas and he said, "I like them together. It's a good thing," he told Carissa Loethen on E News in July. Nick Jonas and Joe are not only brothers but also the best of friends that supports each other, according to E Online.
On Joe's 26th birthday, Gigi Hadid surprised him with a soccer-themed birthday party at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles, reported in New York Daily News.
The supermodel recently co-directed the "Cake By the Ocean" music video for Jonas' band DNCE. She had a megaphone. She was a badass," Joe Jonas told People. "Everybody really looked up to her to lead and she really came through and showed us that she could do it," he continued.
Gigi Hadid was in a previous inconsistent relationship with singer Cody Simpson, according to People. Joe Jonas had also dated the supermodel's friend and singer Taylor Swift, reported on New York Daily News.
