ExtraTorrent Update: Resurrected, Claims Website Owners

The Pirate Bay

After reports of permanent ban on ExtraTorrent.cd website cropped up earlier last week, there is a new rumour that suggests that the torrent website is set to make a comeback in the form of a new ET website. However, there are many who claim that the website is fake and is pretty much an ExtraTorrent rip-off and basically sources most of its content from other torrent websites, especially The Pirate Bay.

According to a report published by Forbes, the latest ExtraTorrent-replica is nothing but The Pirate Bay in disguise of the ExtraTorrent skin. Much on the contrary of the site operators who claim that these allegations are false by nature. The website-runners claim that they have previously worked with ExtraTorrent and thus, work on the authenticity of the previous website.

According to a report published by The Inquistr, the group behind the website has claimed that they have connections to the original ExtraTorrent website and thus, have full access to the databases provided by the same. The team, as per what they had to say, consists of former ExtraTorrent admins, moderators and other back-end developers. In fact, the team even goes on to claim credit for bringing these websites back after suffering the permanent ban. They suggest that this isn't the first time that they have pulled such a stunt off. Previously, they have managed to bring The Pirate Bay and KickAss Torrents back to life as well.

However, if one observes the new website carefully - it is easily visible that the platform is far from resembling the original ExtraTorrent website. The platform is also apparently riddled with numerous issues that the owners claim will be resolved in the upcoming days. The website owners also claim that the authenticity of their website can be backed by user statistics as well.
