Visitors look at Windows-enabled smartphones, including the Nokia Lumia series, at the Microsoft stand the 2015 CeBIT technology trade fair on March 16, 2015 in Hanover, Germany.

Nokia 9 specifications and image have been leaking continuously online, where the image seems to be the prototype of the handset. Although there is no official confirmation from the Finnish Nokia maker HMD Global, French publication frandroid.com obtained prototype of Nokia 9 as well as the specifications.

According to the leaked image of the prototype version of Nokia 9, it appears that the handset is protected by a case that limits what the new device actually looks like. The design of the smartphone is difficult to describe. On the other hand, the cutting in the shell does reveal some aspects of the smartphone. The smartphone is seemingly made out of the aluminum build.

Nokia 9 is reported to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset clocked at 2.46GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is no word if the internal storage is expandable via a microSD card. Software-wise, the handset will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a Pixel-like interface.

The Nokia 9 smartphone will feature 5.3-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 screen resolution and a screen density of 557ppi. It will have dual rear camera setup with 13MP lenses, offering dual LED flash and a laser autofocus window. The cameras offer a monochrome view, a color view or a snapshot using both sensors.

There is no word about the battery capacity but it will support QuickCharge 3.0. Nokia 9 will feature Type-C ports alongside speakers and microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume rocker and the power button are situated on the right-hand side of the device. Moreover, it appears to sport a physical home button which will likely have a fingerprint scanner embedded into it.

Reports say that Nokia 9 package will be shipped with a pair of high-quality in-ear headphones with full cable control and a charger capable of delivering 5V to 2.5A, 9V to 2A or 12V at 1.5A. It is rumored that it will cost about $700.
