BTS’ Heartwarming Message To Fans
One doesn't have to be a BTS fan to notice acknowledge that the 7-member group has been defying the borders of music and language. BTS' international achievements over the past year alone have been nothing short of outstanding and noteworthy, especially since they are the first ever K-pop group to be nominated and invited to the Billboard Music Awards.
Of course, BTS could not have achieved all these amazing feats alone. Their large fan base, ARMY, is known to be the backbone of the group. The fans have made their recent Wings Tour a major success so far. After completing the first part of their world tour, BTS sat down with Sports Kyunghang for an interview. Here, they revealed what they felt about their fans and how their large following became a catalyst to their international fame.
The members were asked what they discovered during their world tour and how it was meeting fans from across continents. BTS leader Rap Monster said that he felt powerful emotions every time he heard fans scream in their concerts. The youngest, Jungkook, also shared how he connects with his international fans. He said, "While on tour, I make eye contact with a lot of the fans, and with every stage, I felt that I should try harder to become one with our fans. The level of fun is the same as it was in the beginning. I feel that we should work on our talents more to show our fans an improved version of us."
BTS further expressed their love for ARMY, praising them for their support. Jin says, "ARMYs are a part of us. We exist because ARMY exists. We would be nothing if we didn't have our ARMY." Suga shared how fans affect their presence onstage, and how he feels whenever he looks at the crowd when they perform. "I think we impact each other positively, so I'm happy. When our fans are energized by our performances, we're also energized when we see our fans. I'm extremely thankful for their positive impact whenever we're tired and exhausted."
V says the reason he keeps on trying harder is because ARMYs are always there watching. According to him, "The reason why we can go around the world and perform is because of our ARMY, and I think I try harder because everyone is watching us." It's nice to know that although BTS now reached international stardom, they are still humble and down to earth enough to acknowledge their fans. Keep it up, boys!
