Intel’s Core i9 Specs Leaked; May Launch At The Same Time As AMD Ryzen 9 CPU
The recent turn of events indicate that a fresh-war might break out between age-old rivals, AM and Intel. On one hand, AMD is expected to launch their revamped White-Haven platform that is apparently claimed to be offering the enhanced Ryzen 9 CPU on top, Intel at the same time is highly-speculated to introduce its Core i9 system.
As noted by PCGamesn, AMD still hasn't announced the official release date of its Intel Core i9-rival, Ryzen 9 CPU. However, consistent rumours of the latter have led many to believe that it might be at the same time as Intel announces its next-gen Kaby Lake Skylake X system. At the same time, there are multiple contradicting reports that suggest that Intel will take its own sweet time to unveil the much-awaited Skylake-X system.
As far as the specifications of the latter are concerned, it has been widely reported that the Core i9 chips supplied by Intel will come equipped with a new tier of processors and will highly succeed its predecessor, the Core i7 line-up. It will be interesting to see AMD's reaction to this apparent rumour. In fact, AMD even plans on using a similar numeric naming system as Intel to ensure that both of these systems fall in direct competition in the market.
Intel's Skylake-X range of processor, on the other hand has been reported to come equipped with a pair of Kaby Lake-X chips as well. It is widely expected of Intel to instil the Skylake-X models with same HEDT generation as the older versions.
Separately, Intel's Core i9 line-up was alleged leaked on the Anandtech forums. As per the information provided in the leak, the Core i9 line-up is going to feature four i9 chips and a pair of Core i7s as well. It remains to be seen what exactly works out when the two giants come face to face.
