BMW car owners are recently alarmed after randomly parked vehicles of its kind suddenly burst into flames. The concern is that this incident already happened in various countries such as Sweden, China, US, India, and South Korea. Supposedly, a possible gas leak is the prime suspect for it.

According to ABC News, a recent investigation was carried out in South Korea about the BMW fire scandal. It leads to the conclusion that "poor maintenance" and "defective fuel lines" might be the reason for the parked cars to just ignite.

BMW initially didn't accept that this case might be a company defect. Later on, it suggested that the cars' fuel line might be the problem. It already recalled a total of 1,700 because of the South Korean transport ministry insistence.

On the contrary, BMW said that it has nothing to apologize about the firing scandal. It went on saying, "we have not seen any pattern related to quality or component failure. Vehicle fires can result from a wide variety of external reasons unrelated to a product defect."

While in the US, the report also quoted Safety Research & Strategies founder Sean Kane's take about the BMW fire issue. He stated that this type of cars isn't really turned off well. This is the best possible reason why they suddenly burst into flames.

In another report by Metro, BMW fire scandal is also its topic. The BMW car owners' sad fate were considered here.

One of the recorded BMW fire cases is Bill Macko's. He and his wife were home during that time when their "2008 BMW X5" apparently just caught on fire in the garage. This made them lose their place after.

Meanwhile, another 2003 BMW burst into the fire in New York last a few years ago. The owner said that his car was only parked outside. There was no reason for it to supposedly just happen out of the blue.
