Google Pixel has been on the market for over six months now and there are rumors that next generation Pixel is entering early development stages. Google’s Senior Vice President of hardware Rick Osterloh has confirmed during the Mobile World Congress in March that there will be Pixel 2. Several concept designers have started imaging what the device would look like. Designers at YouTube channel Concept Creator have posted a video to show their vision for the Pixel 2.

In the teaser concept, Pixel 2 is seen with a dual-camera on the back, suggesting that the actual device could feature two lenses on the back side that will allow the user to take advantage of in-depth camera features. It is suggested that the dual cameras are 16MP.

In a recent Geekbench listing, there will be three variants for the next generation Pixel. Google Pixel 2 has a codename of Muskie while the larger Pixel 2 XL is dubbed Walleye. Lastly, the third unit has a codename of Taimen.

In the Geekbench listing, Taimen Pixel has an octa-core 1.9 Ghz Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and will probably run under Android O, which is set to be the next major Android release and will be showcased by Google at it is upcoming I/O developers event. It has scored 1804 on the single-core test and 6248 on the multi-core. Taimen Pixel is said to be larger compared to Muskie and Walleye with a 6-inch display.

Other rumors about Google Pixel 2 include 128GB/256GB of internal storage and come with Google Assistant, Daydream VR, and Pixel Launcher. It is also reported that all the Pixel phones coming this year will use the same Snapdragon 835 chipset that is found in Samsung’s Galaxy S8.

For the price of Google Pixel 2, the price is expected to be not less than $649 and the Pixel 2 XL would have a tag price of a minimum of $769.
