Microsoft Unveils New Devices Powered By Windows 10

Redmond-based technology giant unveiled its "ultimate laptop," the Surface Book back in October 2015. At that time, the company managed to steal the show especially due to the product's 2-in-1 ability - which was quite new at that time. The product came with a detachable screen, Surface Pen support, Windows 10 Professional and Nvidia GPU - all of which impressed the audience. However, the fans have been waiting for a successor ever since. Now, new reports emerging online suggest that the company might bring a Microsoft Surface Book 2 this year.

An online publication TechRadar has listed out the possible details of the upcoming Surface Book 2. According to the report, it appears like the Surface Book 2 will probably be released in Q3 of 2017. The new model is speculated to be launched with Intel's next-generation Kaby Lake processors - the same system that Apple's Macbook Pro (2017) is expected to pack. If this turns out to be true then the two will be in the same league and it will be interesting to see which one survives to be the most favorable in the market.

Apart from that, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is rumored to feature the native USB 3.1 Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 support along with four cores as the default configuration. A high-definition screen that should definitely be expected with the upcoming Surface Book 2, given that Microsoft generally lays enough emphasis on the display. According to PCWorld, the screen will reportedly sport a 13.5-inch display with a 3,000 x 2,000 (267 ppi) resolution. Apart from that, the Surface Book 2 may even come packed with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU.

None of the above-given information has been confirmed by Microsoft yet. Therefore, it is advisable that it be taken with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more Microsoft Surface Book 2 updates.
