This feature was already implemented by Slack and it seems like WhatsApp will also provide this feature to its millions of users.

Although WhatsApp didn't share any release date of the update, it can be expected that the Android and iOS users are going to get this useful features soon. It is a good move from WhatsApp to lure the users as it has already suffered a huge outrage by the users for its discontinuing services.
