New Apple iMac Is Coming This Year: 8K Display, Intel Kaby Lake Processor With 2TB PCIe SSD & AMD Graphics Cards
Since a lot of time had already gone by, Apple fans started believing that the company might not renew its iMac series. However, the Cupertino tech giant has confirmed that they are working on a new series which is expected to hit the markets this year.
According to reports, Apple's upcoming iMac is expected to pack Intel Xeon E3-1285 v6 processor. On the storage front, the device is rumored to offer 16GB to 64GB of internal storage coupled with 2TB PCIe SSD.
Apart from that, the Apple iMac is expected to arrive in two new versions, one will be a 21-inch display category and the other will be a 27-inch display category. Both the devices will pack high-end AMD graphics cards and Radeon GPUs.
A separate report by MacRumors claims that the upcoming line-up of Apple iMac will most probably come equipped with Intel's latest 7th-gen Kaby lake processors. If this turns out to be true rather than the new range of devices will manage to be a step forward than Apple's other counterparts - the MacBook Pros. In fact, it has also been widely reported that Apple plans on targeting MacBook Pro users with its upcoming line-up of iMacs.
Moving on, as per a report published by Bloomberg, Apple is widely believed to pack the upcoming range of iMacs with Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C port on the devices along with a wireless keyboard with an advanced toeboard and touch ID functionality. Moreover, Apple iMac may even come with an 8K external display. The pricing on this one might surpass its predecessor for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, the exact amount hasn't been revealed yet.
While Apple hasn't confirmed the exact date for Apple's iMac launch this year, several reports indicate that the Cupertino tech giant might bring the new line-up by the end of this year. Stay tuned for more Apple iMac updates.
