BTS Incredibly Gets Featured On The New York Times

The New York Times is one of the largest online news sites in the United States. Just recently, it featured the phenomenon BTS created for its Chile "2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour." Check out here what went on the article.

According to the New York Times, "Pop Coreano" or South Korean Pop has even entered the Latino-inspired music industry of Chile. The last "2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour" clearly showed how it's a phenomenon in the country now.

The report went on telling the story of BTS' fame on the South American region. Despite being a Latin-inspired industry, the strong influence of the idol group still manages to infiltrate it. The internet's magic is supposedly its strongest ally. The South Korean band managed to reach out to their fans through it.

In one incredible instance that the news gave is the Chilean reporter encounter with its fan. "Was it worth the wait?" the reporter inquired to the fan. This is replied with the words, "It was. The wait, the whole night." Then, it later proceeded to tell about the growth of BTS' popularity in Chile.

"We talk about our own turmoil and mental breakdowns as honestly as possible in the music and [how] it grows with us as we get older," BTS member Rap Monster said about the reason why Chilean fans love them. "We believe Chilean fans tend to connect to those values, maybe a little deeper than fans in other countries," he added.

In another report by Soompi, BTS' unbelievable feat on the New York Times is also the topic. It mainly discussed the staggering revenue the band accomplished on Chile.

"2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour" is definitely a smashing hit in Chile. This is further cemented with $2 million ticket sales the South Korean idol group amassed. To take note, Big Hit Entertainment can't even believe its numbers.
