HTC is expected to bring its successor to HTC 10, dubbed as HTC HQ or ideally HTC 11 this year. According to a new report published by Trusted Reviews, the smartphone is expected to debut in May. However, nothing has been finalized yet and the company hasn't given an official statement on this either. Therefore, it is advisable that the readers take the news with a grain of salt. It's worthy to note that HTC is generally known to introduce most of its smartphones in Q1 of every year. Thus, fans can stay assured that the smartphone is on its way and can debut any time now.
What is known for sure is the fact that HTC's upcoming smartphone will be called HTC U. The device has been codenamed 'Ocean' on various Chinese regulation websites. That leaves the fans in a bit of confusion as to what to believe is true.
It is widely believed that the smartphone will come along with significant hardware and software upgrades as well. According to a report published by PCAdvisor, the smartphone - as spotted on a benchmarking website - will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device is further rumored to carry a storage capacity of 4GB/6GB of RAM along with up to 256GB of internal storage.
As listed by GSMArena, the HTC 11 smartphone is expected to pack a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone, like mentioned previously, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Moreover, the device is believed to come with a 12MP Ultra-Pixel rear camera along with a 16MP front snapper for selfie-lovers.
The device will apparently be IP57 water-resistant and will boost of HTC Boom Sound. On the connectivity front, the smartphone will offer facilities like Wi-Fi, 4G-enability and a fingerprint scanner as well.
