Apple iMac 27" 5K Retina Display: Unboxing - Awesome Stuff Week

iMac 2017 has been subject to rumors for quite some time. Although Apple has announced the plan to bring an update, several reports claim that the tech giant is, in fact, not keen on introducing a new iMac. Meantime, the company is believed to be working on two iMac 2017 iterations.

Two iMac 2017 Models Are Now In The Works

According to reports, two iMac 2017 iterations are already in the works - one as a premium desktop, while the other is aimed at the higher-end market. The new iMacs are expected to come with "server-grade" internal parts like ECC RAM, which is used to keep the single-bit memory errors at bay. It is important to note that some of the key factors for the rise of these errors are the cosmic rays, radioactive decay, and electrical interference.

iMac 2017 may also pack an Intel Xeon E3-1285 v6, along with 16-64GB of ECC RAM as well as 2 TB PCIe SSD. Further reports suggest that the 21-inch iMacs will likely keep onboard the Iris or Iris Pro graphics. Incidentally, Apple used mobile-grade graphics chips in the previously launched iMac update.

As for the new 27-inch iMacs, reports claim that high-end AMD graphics cards will be included, along with the new Radeon GPUs that boasts of AMD's latest Polaris architecture. Moreover, the new iMac lineup is going to be powered by Intel's latest 7th-generation Kaby Lake processors, Mobile N Apps reported.

iMac 2017 Releasing Later This Year

Rumors regarding the release date of the new iMac 2017 have been circulating across the Internet, with some claiming that the latest desktop from Apple will be released during the second half of 2017. Further reports suggest that the iMac 2017 release date will happen in the 3rd quarter of this year. Regardless, Apple is definitely bringing upgrades to the desktop devices with latest high-end specs and technology in order to keep up with their competition, Tapscape reported. Check out iMac 2017 News & Update here:
