Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Review

Huawei P10 is faced with problems related to screens and slower memory, which are reportedly due to the component supplier's fault. Meantime, the said issue has resulted to a lot of complaints from dissatisfied customers.

Huawei P10 Maker Addressed The Memory Speed And Smudgy Screen Issues

Huawei P10 owners are complaining about a slower flash memory performance, including a blotch that starts to appear on the screen. Reports suggest that the P10 users that used eMMC 5.1 chips instead of the new UFS 2.0-2.1 scored lower in the storage benchmarks. In fact, the device only accomplished half of the tasks done by other devices that are run by faster chips.

Addressing the issue, Huawei CEO Richard Yu said in a released statement that the smudgy screen issue had been caused by the lack of an oleophobic coating on the display. On the other hand, the memory speed problem was due to a supply shortage of UFS 2.0 and 2.1 chips that are known to be faster chips compared to the eMMC 5.1. That said, the company settled on a slower chip.

The Huawei P10 CEO also claimed that the slower memory would not have an effect on the real world performance, saying that the phone's software and hardware optimizations, a good real-life experience and performance could be achieved. As for the absence of an oleophobic coating, Yu explained that it is because of the Gorilla Glass 5 combined with the static electricity, Pocket Now reported.

Huawei P10 Lite Blue Variant Launches In Europe

Following the announcement of Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, the company launched a lesser variant - the Huawei P10 Lite in Europe, but without much noise. The said variant was initially released in black and Gold colors, and now, the company came up with a blue variant, the Shimmer Blue, which was reportedly the similar named tagged on the blue model of the much larger Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, The Droid Review reported.
