Samsung just confirmed that a high-end smartphone is planned for the second half of the year, and that can only be Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung has released its first quarter financial results for this year and it shows interestingly that the company have ridden a good path of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco i.e. Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Interestingly, a confirmation has been revealed in the press event that is Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is coming this year.

Samsung has previewed the year ahead in a press release announcing its financial results for the first quarter of the year, stating that it plans to "successfully" launch "a new flagship smartphone in the second half." The tech giant may have not named the Galaxy Note 8 particularly in its press release, but patrons already know that a new Galaxy Note arrives each year in August or September.

More often than not the Samsung announces its Note series phones before of Apple's phones but makes them available much later in the year. Since the company's annoyance with the Galaxy Note 7's release is what's supposed to have caused faulty batteries to pass through to customers, it can be deemed a clever move on Samsung's part not to rush the release of the next Note series flagship, as per NDTV.

According to BGR, there are also rumors which say a foldable Samsung Galaxy X may be released this year, but most reports claim that Samsung will conduct a limited trial run at best to test the market. Now here, it's worth remembering that Samsung's mobile chief DJ Koh  confirmed in early 2017 that he planned to bring a better, safer, and very innovative Galaxy Note 8 to market this year, quenching rumors that Samsung was looking to kill the Galaxy Note brand after the recall of the Galaxy Note 7.

The Galaxy Note 7 was launched at $850. So it is expected that the price for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be slightly higher than this.
