'Red Dead Redemption 2' News: PS4 Variants Of The Game Already Sold Out In Amazon; To Bump Off 'GTA Online?'
Rockstar Games' upcoming western shooter sequel - "Red Dead Redemption 2" has grown to become one of the game developer's highly anticipated titles this year. It is highly anticipated that its Amazon stocks for the PlayStation 4 platform have been sold out just recently.
The Amazon listing for "Red Dead Redemption 2's" PS4 version is as of late deemed unavailable by the website and it is still uncertain as to when new stocks would arrive. However, the Xbox One Variant of the game still remains in-stock.
According to RDR2, "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans even reached out to Amazon about the upcoming title only to get a response stating that the PS4 stocks that were allotted for them already ran out. Albeit the uncertainty, physical copies of the game will resurface online in the coming months. The game's Xbox One variant, on the other hand, is not getting much attention due to the fact that PlayStation 4 players will be getting the good stuff ahead of them.
From the looks of it, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will definitely be one of Rockstar's success stories now that the game is well received by gamers despite the scarcity of information about the game. However, there are talks going on that the yet to be released game might bump off "Grand Theft Auto Online" in the spotlight once it hits the shelves.
Nerd Reactor pointed out though that such theory is quite unlikely since "GTA Online" has already raked in $80 million while the original "Red Dead Redemption" that went out in 2010 has just pulled off a decent $10 million. The publication also highlighted that part of "GTA Online's" success was the barrage of downloadable contents that are being added into the game free of charge.
Meanwhile, there are also speculations that Rockstar's other title - "Bully" - might get a sequel after the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2." "RDR 2" is slated to be released sometime this fall. Check out a video about the upcoming game sequel here:
