Tech Rumor: LG G6 to Launch Mini Variant with 5.4-inch Display

The recently launched LG G6 might have a mini variant according to reports and rumors. In an internal document obtained by TechnoBuffalo, LG is gearing up to introduce a smaller version of its G6. There is no official name yet but it could be named as G6 Mini. Since the LG G4, there has been some kind of miniature of every flagship before the G6; the G4c and the G5 Mini.

However, there are not too many specs yet know about the G6 mini. The LG G6 Mini will feature 5.4-inch display as compared the 5.7-inch display of G6. It will retain the 18:9 display ratio and the screen-to-body ratio of the smaller phone will be just below 80 percent. Meanwhile, LG G6 contains 78.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

Apart from the display size and ratio, other specs for LG G6 mini are not known yet. There is no information about its hardware or even the price. No official announcement yet for the launch date for LG G6 mini as well in the document. 

With the imminent launch of LG G6 mini, the South Korean tech firm will be a bigger challenge for Apple and Samsung. Both Apple and Samsung are offering different sizes for their flagship smartphones. LG G6 mini smaller form may appeal to a wider audience.

LG is likely to focus its efforts of making the G6 mini to feature neutered experience. market. However, LG G6 mini could be a less expensive variant of G6 to make it perfect for other countries too outside America. There are also rumors that LG G6 mini will be available in selected markets only and U.S. is not one of them.

The recently launched LG G6 is likely to be a success in the U.S. and the company will push more aggressive marketing strategy to make it happen.
