DJI Phantom Pro 4 News: Increased Active Flight Time, Intelligent Batteries & More
While the DJI Phantom Pro 4 have not deviated from its predecessor in terms of form, the recent upgrade benefited the drone in terms of function. With an increased battery capacity of 5,870 mAh, the DJI Phantom Pro 4 takes up to 30 minutes of active flight time in only a single charge.
Aside from this improvement, the Chinese company now gave consumers an option to immediately swap batteries when the first one is fully drained, Channel News reported. In terms of camera, the DJI Phantom Pro 4 is equipped with a 20-megapixel camera which plays on a dynamic range of layers.
With the 20-megapixel camera, the DJI Phantom Pro 4 is able to deliver crispy and vibrant images, for both low-lit and well-lit environments. It can also record 4K videos at 30 and 60 frames per second.
Users can edit all the images captured using the controller installed in the drone. The company improved the controller by including an Android-operated tablet display into it. The display is 5.5-inch in size and has a 1080p resolution. The review said though the idea of a tablet display in the controller may not be engaging at first look, it actually makes it easier for the user to communicate with the DJI Phantom Pro 4.
Aside from these features, the DJI Phantom Pro 4 is also equipped with intelligent batteries. Using the DJI GO 4 App, the user will know the current battery level and an estimate of the remaining flight time of the drone. The app will also inform the user when is the perfect time to go back before the battery runs out of power, Slash Gear reported.
