'Dragon Ball Super' News & Updates: Piccolo To Boast A New Form? Master Roshi Also Set To Enter The Tourney
The following episodes in "Dragon Ball Super" will be crunch time for Son Goku and the rest of the participating Z-Warriors in the upcoming Tournament of Power. Aside from Son Gohan and Android 17, fans are also expecting that the former's Namekian uncle will be part of the multiversal fisticuffs.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 88 - "Gohan and Piccolo Teacher and Pupil Clash in Max Training" is likely to be a filler installment just like the recent episodes. However, it is believed to be the episode where Gohan will be getting a new buff as his training will be unsparing as hell, Celebeat reported.
As a result, Piccolo's skill levels will be upped as well and will obviously land him a spot in Universe 7's fighting roster. "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama has revealed in a previous interview that apart from Son Goku, Piccolo is also one of his top picks with Vegeta being his least favorite.
Just like Gohan, the current word on the street suggests that the green-skinned fellow might be getting a buff similar to the Super Saiyan form. However, fans are advised to have their salt shakers ready as this is just circumstantial as of the moment.
Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the Turtle Sennin Master Roshi will be joining the fold in the looming universal clash. Nonetheless, viewers find it quite awkward considering the old man's power levels as he will be pitted against other beings whose strength almost equal that of the gods.
"Dragon Ball Super" showrunner Hiroyuki Sakurada defended such decision stating that the hermit still has lots of fighting juice in him. However, the producer admitted that the power levels of the character are way off as compared to the other Z-Warriors. Hiroyuki-san further explained that Toriyama-san's decision to include Roshi is an indication that the Tournament of Power will showcase various battlegrounds which are suited to some characters more than anyone else, Comicbook has learned.
