Disney has just announced a definite date for the untitled "Star Wars Episode 9" film. Alongside the announcement is a deluge of other film projects that is already in the queue in the coming years including a fifth "Indiana Jones" full-length featurette.

The House of the Mouse took to Twitter to unveil such news. However, it seems like the company will be veering away from its usual whim of releasing "Star Wars" installments during the Holidays as it was made known that "Episode 9" will premiere on May 24, 2019.

The recent film installments and spinoffs were all rolled out during the December release window with "Rogue One" being the most recent. However, the old school fandom of the franchise is very much aware that both prequel and the second trilogies were shown during the summer. A lot can still happen though as bigwigs over at Disney might reconsider and revert back to a Holiday release.

Meanwhile, rumor mills are spinning yet again as Luke Skywalker is believed to be keeping a legendary Sith item alongside other Jedi relics. Such fan theory is pretty much plausible as the upcoming film - "The Last Jedi" will be the darkest "Star Wars" film yet not to mention that the Jedi Master will be losing faith with the said order.

If recent talks are anything to go by, his father's (Darth Vader) Kyber Crystal is rumored to be worn by Luke as a necklace that is enclosed in a wooden carving that serves as its façade. This could be one of the reasons why Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (Adam Driver) will be heading to the aqueous planet of Ach-To as he is also obsessed with collecting anything related to his old man, Screen Rant noted.

Actor Mark Hamill, on the other hand, may already have an idea what will the future of his character be decades before the third trilogy went to fruition. In an undated 80s interview with the late Gene Siskel, Hamill spilled an epic spoiler back then as he revealed that George Lucas has "talked to him marginally" about another trilogy at the turn of the century though he highlighted that it wouldn't on the "same plane of existence," The Hollywood Reporter noted.

"Star Wars Episode 8 The Last Jedi is due December 15. Watch the above-mentioned interview including a video about the upcoming film:
