Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date and rumors

Microsoft has confirmed the release of Surface Pro 5 and it seems that the device is going to debut at the May event. The Windows giant just got the green signal from Chinese Compulsory Certificate and it is all set to woo the consumers with the high-end features of the 2-in-1 device. The device is even expected to build on Windows 10 cloud and Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor.

Rumors about Microsoft's Surface Book 2 were trolling the Internet, but we haven't heard anything about Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Recently eminent Microsoft tipster Paul Thurrott disclosed that the upcoming laplet will have intel's latest Kaby Lake processor and there is nothing dramatic in it. The company will not change the proprietary Surface power connector in the hybrid tablet.

The tweet even revealed that there is nothing dramatic in it, this means that the device will be simply refreshed and redesign with upgraded components. Although retaining the Surface power connector doesn't necessarily mean that Microsoft will not opt to switch its Display Port on the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to a USB-C port. As reported by The Verge, Microsoft previously committed to ensuring that the Surface Pro 3 power adapters, Type covers, and docking stations would be compatible with the Surface Pro 4.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is all set to release as it just got a green signal from Chinese Compulsory Certificate, also known as CCC. CCC certificate is a compulsory safety mark for products imported or sold in China. it determines the product standards after implementing certain rules and regulations.

As Microsoft has obtained the certificate, it can be said the product is ready to launch in the Chinese market and so for the rest of the world. Besides, Microsoft is going to debut its Windows 10 cloud which is a cloud-based service for its devices. The consumers can expect the launch of Microsoft Pro 5 in the event happening on May 2.
