iPad Mini 5 Release Date & Rumors: Apple Wants to Rebrand its Smallest iPad as iPad Pro Mini, Here’s why
iPad Pro mini or iPad Mini 5 is the most anticipated device amongst Apple users. Tech freaks are eagerly waiting for the iPad mini 5's release date. The fans were even disappointed when iPad mini 5 didn't make its appearance after updating Apple store with a new entry-level iPad and a red iPhone 7.
iPad Mini 4 was launched in September 2015 and is overdue for an update and iPad mini 5 release. Besides, Apple has ditched iPad mini 2 from it stores, so iPad mini 4 is now the only 7.9-inch device available from the company. That is also not enough for the Apple users as it offers only one configuration of 128GB.
Recently, reports are coming from DigiTimes that the new iPad mini 5 cannot be released until early 2017. The device will not enter mass production that means the Apple users could wait for June or September for their iPad mini 5 or iPad Pro mini release.
Although Apple has added a new consecutive event in its calendar called the March spring event which has even dedicated to the launch of iPads, still we haven't heard anything from the company about the March or April spring event.
There are high speculations that Apple might rename the iPad mini 5 as iPad Pro mini. According to MacWorld, the company would follow the iPad Pro line-up which results in the changed name of the device. Besides, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo even released a report in January 2017 that suggests that Apple would announce three new iPads including a 12.9-inch model which will the successor of iPad Pro.
Besides, iPad Pro 2 the company is even expected to release a 10.5-inch, 10-inch, and 9.7-inch models. The bigger models with 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch screen are rumored to embed with the latest mobile chipset A10X while the smaller versions including iPad mini 5 or iPad Pro mini might have the A9X chipset which will be manufactured by Samsung.
