Nintendo Switch has broken old records and set new standards for the "Super Mario" maker. Records would prove that the 2.4 million units of the console was sold in March alone, which clearly shows that it has moved on from the Wii U disaster.

Nintendo Switch Redeems The Company From Wii U Debacle. Nintendo Switch is the result of the new direction taken by the console maker after the Wii U failure. While some reports claim that its success should not entirely be attributed to the doomed Wii U, the latter's fate may have pushed Nintendo to work with a radical plan.

To date, Nintendo Switch has hit up the charts since its release, and reports suggest that the new console has helped the company increase its 2017 full year sales. In fact, a research firm noted that Nintendo may likely be able to sell an impressive console unit of 7.2 million this year, which gives a different picture than the sales estimates given to the Wii U. Incidentally, the NES Classic Edition wa able to outdo the Wii U sales with 1.5 million units that were sold in February alone, BGR reported.

Nintendo Switch Brings A Retro Remake Of "Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap." Nintendo Switch is bringing a retro remake of "Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap," a well-loved Sega Master System game from 1989. Publisher DotEmu and developer Lizardcube have initially announced that they were creating remake last summer, and with only less than a year, the game is now available on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Meantime, Nintendo Switch's "The Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap" will follow Wonder Boy while he traverses through a 2D, interconnected world fighting monsters and attempts to break the curse that makes him transform into different animals. As he beats the bosses, he gets to unlock new transformation that enables him to get to areas that were earlier inaccessible, Euro Gamer reported.
